Fall 2007 - China
Hey guys, Scott here ... As many of you know, I can get a little ... um ... enthusiastic when I talk about some of my experiences in missions. I've recently been to Tanzania and Ghana (both in Africa) and have toured China twice (and I may visit India later this year). I've got some great stories to share, and this is the part of my website where I get to do just that.
As you read about some of these trips, my hope is really just this: that you will begin to imagine what your role might be in what God is doing around the world. There's not a single person who can say "not me - I'm too busy!" or "I'm not a missionary!" or "I can't do something like this!" Nonsense. Every single person that went with me to China was a just like you and me - normal jobs, busy schedules, families and bills... And we got to be part of something huge!
So don't think you have to be especially "qualified" to do something like this. I've got a good friend that takes disabled Americans to Africa to work with people in wheelchairs there. Why? Because nobody is better equipped to reach that particular group for Christ!
You have a part to play in God's Kingdom, and I hope you'll prayerfully consider what that might be...
Anyway, I plan to expand this section of the website to include a lot more cool stuff!
